The mat’s drainage holes allow water to flow freely through to the floor below, keeping the walking surface drier and reducing slip risk. The nitrile foam surface is NFSI certified high-traction with a coefficient of friction of 0.99 dry and 0.82 wet — excellent ratings that maintain grip even when the mat is wet.

The 1/4″ high-density closed-cell nitrile foam is specifically engineered for barefoot comfort. Unlike firm rubber anti-fatigue mats designed for work boots, Wet Step feels soft and cushioned under bare feet while still providing fatigue relief for standing. Wet Step mats can be cleaned using several methods:

Autoclave Sterilization Safe for autoclave sterilization in medical environments.

Commercial Laundering

1. Flush 2-3 minutes, high water level, cold water
2. Break 5-10 minutes, high water level, 120°F (49°C)
3. Rinse 2 minutes, high water level, cold water
4. Rinse 2 minutes, high water level, cold water
5. Drain 2 minutes
6. Lay flat after removal — no extraction or drying required
7. Allow to cool before rolling

Hand Washing

1. Scrub with deck brush using neutral pH detergent (as needed)
2. Rinse with hose or pressure washer
3. Hang to dry
