The raised diamond nub pattern is molded directly into solid nitrile rubber. This isn’t a surface coating that wears away — the traction is built into the material itself. The pattern provides grip even when the surface is wet, greasy, or contaminated with oils.

The numbers prove it: Traction Tread is NFSI certified high-traction with a static coefficient of friction of 0.97 dry and 0.93 wet. That wet rating is exceptional. Most mats see significant performance drops when wet. Traction Tread maintains nearly full traction.

2. Rinse with hose or pressure washer
3. Lay flat or hang to dry

What makes Traction Tread different from Sure Tread V-Groove?
Material and capability. Traction Tread is nitrile rubber — grease-proof, welding safe, UV protected, and NFSI certified with a 0.93 wet CoF. Sure Tread V-Groove is PVC vinyl — chemical resistant but not grease-proof or welding safe. Choose Traction Tread for harsh/wet environments, Sure Tread for dry floor protection.

Is this mat really slip-resistant when wet?
Yes. Traction Tread has an NFSI-certified coefficient of friction of 0.93 when wet — only slightly lower than its 0.97 dry rating. The raised diamond nub pattern maintains traction even in wet, greasy conditions.

Can I use this in a commercial kitchen?

What’s the difference between Traction Tread, Traction Tread Soft, and Traction Tread Grit?
