Classic Brush’s performance comes from its unique fiber construction:

3000 Denier Coarse Nylon Fibers Heavy, stiff fibers that physically scrape dirt and debris from shoe soles. These are the “brush” in Classic Brush — aggressive enough to dislodge stubborn particles.

A916 Mineral 1260 Denier Nylon Fibers Traditional carpet fibers twisted with the coarse fibers to create the cut pile surface. These provide wiping action and moisture capture while maintaining carpet appearance.

4.25 Turns Per Inch Twist The high twist level creates a dense, resilient pile that resists crushing even under heavy foot traffic. Your mat maintains scraping effectiveness longer than lower-twist alternatives.

M+A recommends a three-zone approach to entrance matting:

Classic Brush is positioned as Zone 3 — the transition mat between entry zone and interior environment. However, its aggressive fiber blend delivers scraping power that most Zone 3 mats lack.

For buildings with limited entry depth (where Zone 1 and Zone 2 must be combined or compressed), Classic Brush can serve as a Zone 2/3 hybrid that handles more soil load than standard carpeted wipers.

Indoor Only — Important Limitation

Classic Brush is designed for indoor use only.

The cut pile nylon construction is optimized for interior environments. Do not use:

• Outdoors (direct sunlight, rain, snow exposure)
• In uncovered outdoor areas
• In locations with direct weather exposure

For outdoor scraper/wiper needs, use WaterHog or SuperScrape products instead.

Regular Maintenance:

Deep Cleaning:

• Extract clean with carpet extractor
• Lay flat to dry
• Ensure mat is completely dry before returning to service

Spot Cleaning:

• Rinse with soap and water

Commercial Laundering Instructions

For nitrile-backed mats only. SBR-backed mats cannot be commercially laundered.

Standard Formula:

1. Flush: 2-3 minutes, medium water level, 120°F (49°C)
2. Flush (optional): 2-3 minutes, medium water level, 120°F (49°C)
3. Break: 2-3 minutes, high water level, 120°F (49°C)
4. Rinse: 2 minutes, high water level, cold
5. Rinse: 2 minutes, high water level, cold
6. Extract (low speed): 1-2 minutes
7. Shake out: 1 minute (rotate wheel at wash speed with drain open)
8. Extract (low speed): 3-5 minutes
9. Dry: 5-10 minutes, 180°F (82°C) basket temp
10. Cooldown: 5 minutes
11. Lay mats flat following removal. Allow cooling before rolling.

Heavy Soil Formula:

• Increase temperature to max 140°F (60°C)
• Break should not exceed pH 9.5
• Use low-pH non-ionic detergents

Important:

• Do not over-dry — basket temperature should not exceed 180°F (82°C)
• If mats are not dried, final rinse can be increased to 140°F (60°C) to reduce moisture retention
• Mats must be completely dry and cooled before rolling for storage
