Anchor Pads keep mats and modular tiles from sliding, bunching, or walking across floors. The dual-adhesive design bonds permanently to the mat backing while using releasable adhesive on the floor side — allowing repositioning without leaving residue. 4″ x 4″ pads. Available in packs of 6 or 24.
Mats that slide, bunch, or curl create trip hazards and look unprofessional. Anchor Pads solve the problem with a simple peel-and-stick solution that keeps mats firmly in place on hard floor surfaces.
The dual-adhesive design works in two directions: one side bonds permanently to your mat backing, while the other side uses a releasable adhesive that grips the floor without leaving sticky residue when removed or repositioned.
Mat Side (Permanent): Strong adhesive bonds directly to the mat’s rubber or vinyl backing. This side stays attached to the mat.
Floor Side (Releasable): Repositionable adhesive grips hard floor surfaces firmly during use but releases cleanly when you need to move the mat. No sticky residue left behind.
This dual-adhesive approach means you can reposition mats as needed without replacing the pads or damaging your floors.

If your tiles already have pads attached, you don’t need to purchase additional pads unless replacing worn ones.
To move a mat with Anchor Pads installed:
The releasable adhesive can typically be repositioned multiple times before losing grip. If pads no longer hold firmly, replace with fresh pads.
How many Anchor Pads do I need?
Place one pad on each corner as a minimum. For mats larger than 3′ x 5′, add pads along the edges. See the sizing chart above.
Will Anchor Pads damage my hardwood floors?
No. The floor-side adhesive is designed to release cleanly without leaving residue. However, we recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first, especially on antique or delicate finishes.
Can I reposition mats after installing the pads?
Yes. The releasable floor-side adhesive allows you to lift and reposition mats. The pads stay attached to the mat and re-grip when pressed down again.
Do these work on carpet?
No. Anchor Pads are designed for hard floor surfaces only. For carpet, use mats with cleated rubber backing instead.
How long do Anchor Pads last?
Pads remain effective for years under normal use. Replace if the adhesive no longer grips firmly or if the pad becomes damaged.
Can I use these with drain-through mats?
No. Drain-through mats have holes in the backing that prevent proper adhesion. Anchor Pads work best with solid-backed mats.
What’s the difference between Anchor Pads and Double-Sided Tape?
Anchor Pads are repositionable and designed for lighter-duty applications (entrance mats, anti-fatigue mats). Double-Sided Tape provides a stronger, more permanent bond and is required for heavy applications like WaterHog Forklift mats under wheeled traffic.
Do I need pads for large mats?
Mats larger than 4′ x 8′ usually stay in place due to their own weight. Anchor Pads are most useful for smaller, lighter mats that tend to slide or bunch.
