Standard mats come in fixed sizes. But your floor doesn’t. Workstations wrap around machinery, assembly areas form L-shapes, and production floors have columns, equipment, and irregular layouts that rectangular mats can’t cover.
Same proven Hog Heaven construction: 3/4″ nitrile rubber that’s welding safe, grease/oil proof, chemical resistant, and ESD electrically conductive. Each tile includes an Anchor Pad for secure floor attachment. Available in 18″ or 36″ systems with black or OSHA-approved yellow striped borders.
Important: This is the solid-surface version for DRY environments. For wet areas with standing liquids, see Hog Heaven Drainable Modular Tiles.
20% recycled rubber content. Made in USA.
Factory floors aren’t simple rectangles. Equipment creates obstacles. Columns interrupt floor space. Workstations form L-shapes around conveyors. Assembly areas wrap around machinery.
Standard mats — even custom-sized ones — can’t adapt to these realities. You end up with gaps, overlaps, and trip hazards where mats meet obstacles.
Hog Heaven Modular Tiles provide a different approach: an interlocking system that configures to virtually any floor shape.
The system uses three tile types. Corner tiles have beveled borders on two adjacent sides — place them at the corners of your layout. Side tiles have a beveled border on one side — they form the perimeter. Center tiles have no borders — they interlock on all sides to fill the interior. Combine them in any arrangement to match your floor.
Need to cover an L-shaped workstation? Configure the tiles to match. Have a column in the middle of your coverage area? Cut tiles around it. Expanding the production area next year? Add more tiles to the existing installation.
Each tile includes an Anchor Pad on the backside for secure floor attachment. Unlike loose mats that shift and separate, properly anchored tiles stay locked in position even under foot traffic.
The 3/4″ thickness provides premium cushioning — 20% thicker than standard Hog Heaven mats. The nitrile rubber construction handles welding sparks, grease, oil, and chemicals. ESD electrically conductive rating protects sensitive electronics in assembly environments.
The OSHA-approved yellow striped border option provides built-in safety marking. Define workstation boundaries, mark walkways, and create visual safety zones without separate floor tape.
Important Note on Cart Traffic: Hog Heaven Modular Tiles are designed for standing comfort, not heavy rolling loads. In areas with cart, pallet jack, or dolly traffic, use Hog Heaven Traffic Tiles in the cart path, or route carts around the tiled area.

Step 1: Prepare the Floor Clean floor surface, removing all debris and dust.
Step 2: Plan Your Layout Determine tile arrangement before starting. For complex shapes, lay out tiles without attaching to verify fit.
Step 3: Start with Corner Begin with a corner tile. Follow Anchor Pad instructions on tile backside to secure to floor.
Step 4: Complete First Edge Attach side tiles along one edge, ending with another corner tile.
Step 5: Complete Perimeter Work around the perimeter, attaching side tiles and corners.
Step 6: Fill Center Fill remaining interior with center tiles.
Cutting for Obstacles:
⚠️ Important: Avoid cart traffic on these tiles. For areas with pallet jacks, carts, or dollies, use Hog Heaven Traffic Tiles or route carts around the tiled area.
What’s the difference between Modular Tiles and Drainable Modular Tiles?
Modular Tiles have a solid surface — no drainage holes. They’re for dry environments. Drainable Modular Tiles have perforated surfaces that allow liquids to flow through — for wet areas with coolant, water, or other fluids.
Can I mix 18″ and 36″ tiles?
No. The 18″ and 36″ systems have different interlocking mechanisms and cannot connect to each other. Choose one size for your entire installation.
When should I use 18″ tiles vs 36″ tiles?
Use 18″ tiles for smaller areas, tighter spaces, or when you need finer configuration control. Use 36″ tiles for larger areas where faster coverage matters. 36″ tiles require LTL freight shipping regardless of quantity.
How do I know how many of each tile type I need?
For rectangles: Always 4 corner tiles. Side tiles = perimeter tiles minus 4 corners. Center tiles = interior count. See our configuration guide above, or contact us for help planning your layout.
Can I use these where carts roll through?
These tiles are designed for standing comfort, not heavy rolling loads. Pallet jacks, carts, and dollies can damage the cushion. For cart traffic areas, use Hog Heaven Traffic Tiles or route carts around the tiled area.
What’s the Anchor Pad?
Each tile includes an Anchor Pad on the backside for secure floor attachment. It prevents tiles from shifting or separating during use. Follow the instructions printed on the pad.
Can I cut tiles to fit around equipment?
Yes. Tiles can be cut with a linoleum knife and metal straight edge. For inside corners, see our cutting instructions in the Installation section.
Are these welding safe?
Yes. The nitrile rubber surface withstands welding sparks and slag.
Are these ESD safe?
Yes. Modular Tiles have an ESD rating of 9.4 x 10⁵ ohms and meet ASTM/ESD S20.20 and STM7.1 requirements.
