What happened to Cushion Max Mat?
Cushion Max has been renamed Cushion Select by M+A Matting. It’s the same product with the same SKU (414), now part of the Cushion product family.
Why does Cushion Select last twice as long as PVC mats?
Two reasons: nitrile-blended foam resists grease and chemicals that degrade PVC, and the diamond-pattern surface doesn’t peel or shave like ribbed surfaces. The material maintains its structure and cushioning properties much longer.
What’s the difference between Cushion Select and Cushion Complete?
Both are 5/8″ thick nitrile-blended mats. Cushion Select has a diamond-pattern surface and is available only without drainage holes — best for dry environments. Cushion Complete has a smooth surface and is available with or without drainage holes — better for damp environments.
Can I use this in cold storage?
Yes. Cushion Select is rated down to -20°F and maintains flexibility at cold temperatures. It’s ideal for cold storage facilities, freezer areas, and refrigerated environments.
Is it safe near hot equipment?
Yes. The mat is rated up to 200°F. It won’t break down or become hazardous near ovens, cooking equipment, or other heat sources.
Is Cushion Select welding safe?
