The polyester film moisture barrier prevents liquids from soaking through to your floor. Water, spills, and tracked-in moisture stay on top of the mat where they can evaporate or be cleaned. Your floor stays protected. And because CleanShield is antimicrobially treated, odors don’t build up even in constantly-wet areas.

Installation Instructions

What You’ll Need:

• CleanShield Roll Goods
• Cutting knife (included with roll)
• Cutting board (optional, for clean cuts)
• Clean, dry floor surface

Steps:

1. Clean the floor — Surface must be clean and completely dry for adhesive to bond properly.
2. Measure and cut — Measure desired length. Place cutting board beneath the mat at cut location. Use the included safety knife to cut mat to size.
3. Position the mat — Place mat in desired location. Do not press down yet — verify positioning is correct.
4. Press into place — Use cutting board or firm pressure to press and smooth mat into place, working from center outward.
5. Trim corners — Cut corners at 45-degree angles using cutting guides if available. This prevents corner lifting.

Cleaning Instructions

• Leave in place — Do not pick up CleanShield Roll Goods to clean underneath until you’re ready to replace the mat.
• Daily cleaning — Floor scrubbers, vacuums, brooms, and mops pass right over without damage. Use low settings for water and pressure.
• Stain removal — Pre-treat tough stains with standard carpet cleaning products. Agitate with brush to loosen soil.
• Drying — Mat dries quickly on its own. Use fans or floor blowers to speed drying in extremely wet conditions. For heavy moisture, use wet vac or extractor.
• Replacement — Replace when mat shows wear, damage, or weakened floor bond. Always replace within 4 months regardless of condition.

Sure Stride has been renamed CleanShield Roll Goods by M+A Matting. It’s the same product with the same SKU (4450), now part of the CleanShield product family.

How long does CleanShield Roll Goods last?
Under normal use, CleanShield Roll Goods lasts up to 4 months. Replace sooner if you notice wear, damage, or weakened adhesion to the floor.

Can I remove and reposition the mat?
The adhesive is releasable, so the mat can be repositioned if needed. However, adhesion may weaken after repositioning. For best results, position correctly on first installation.

Does a cutting knife come with the roll?
Yes. Each roll of CleanShield Roll Goods includes a free cutting knife for cutting custom lengths on-site.

Can I leave the mat in place during cleaning?
Yes. Floor scrubbers, vacuums, mops, and brooms pass right over without damaging the mat. Use low water pressure settings.

How much water does it retain?
CleanShield Roll Goods retains up to 1 gallon of water per 10 linear feet — 25% more than many competitive products.

Will the adhesive damage my floor?
The releasable adhesive is designed to remove cleanly. However, always test on an inconspicuous area first, especially on sensitive floor finishes.

What’s the difference between CleanShield Roll Goods and CleanShield Plush Roll Goods?
CleanShield Roll Goods uses polypropylene fabric (12 oz/yd²) for general commercial use. CleanShield Plush Roll Goods uses heavier PET fabric (15 oz/yd²) with a more plush appearance for upscale environments.
